Progress-53 Departure from ISS

The Progress M-21M (53) which first arrived at the orbiting laboratory in late Nov 2013, undocked from the station’s Zvezda Service Module at 9:30 am EDT on June 9, 2014.
The undocking will clear the aft port of Zvezda module for the arrival in August of the final ATV-5, named after the Belgian physicist and astronomer Georges Lemaitre.

The Progress cargo ship is loaded with trash from the station and will burn up upon reentry into Earth’s atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean.

The ISS and Progress paper models were used for this presentation.
