Soyuz MS-04 arrives at ISS

A new crew, cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin and flight engineer Jack Fischer arrived at the station aboard the Soyuz MS-04 on Thursday April 20, 2017 after a 6 hour rendezvous.

This was the first launch of a Soyuz spacecraft carrying just 2 passengers since 2003. The Russian federal space agency recently opted to reduce its station crew by one in the near term to reduce costs.

Yurchikhin and Fischer will join Whitson, Novitskiy and Pesquet to complete Expedition 51.
