Soyuz MS-03 arrives at ISS – Expedition 50

Expedition 50 crew launched aboard a Soyuz rocket from Kazakhstan on Thursday Nov 17th at 20:20 UTC, beginning a half year expedition devoted to scientific, research and maintenance of the orbiting research complex.

Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy, French flight engineer Thomas Pesquet and NASA’s astronaut Peggy Whitson, is the crew on board the upgraded Soyuz MS-03 crew vehicle.
Soyuz MS-03 had to take the long way round, sticking to the conventional 34 orbit rendezvous profile taking two days from launch to docking.

The Soyuz MS-03 crew members are booked for a stay of 178 days until May 15, 2017.
