SPACEX’s Falcon 9 fifth flight of the year successfully took off from Cape Canaveral today May 27, 2016 at 17:39 EDT carrying the Thaicom 8 communications satellite into orbit. This was the second attempt after yesterday’s technical glitch. And for the third time the First Stage successfully landed on the ASDS platform “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Atlantic Ocean.
Notice that the logo on the rocket’s fairing is the same used for the Thaicom-6 mission that launched on January 6, 2014.
