External Stowage Platform 3

The ESP-3 was part of the cargo on board STS-118 on Aug 2007 and was originally installed on the P3 truss at UCCAS-1 site. It has 7 attachment sites (FRAMs) for ISS spare parts and ORUs.

Outboard view:
FRAM 1 Pitch/Roll Joint
FRAM 2 NTA tank 0005
FRAM 3 Empty
FRAM 4 CMG (Removed on Aug 13, 2007 during STS-118 and installed on Z1)

Inboard view:
FRAM 5 empty
FRAM 6 Battery Charge/Discharge Unit (BCDU)
FRAM 7 ATA Flight Support Equipment (FSE)

The original NTA tank on FRAM-2 was swapped for a depleted NTA tank 0002 from S1 truss during STS-124.

STS-126

FHRC-0004 was added to FRAM-2

The depleted NTA 0002 tank was returned to Earth aboard STS-126 in 2008.

On Jan 25, 2010, the ESP-3 was relocated from P3 to the S3 truss via the Mobile Transporter.

Exp.38
Pump Module 0006 on FRAM-3 was swapped with the failed PM0004 from the S1 truss during EVAs on Dec 21 and 24, 2013. The PM0004 previously was temporarily left on the MBS ORU POA for later storage on FRAM-3.
