Dragon CRS-6 departure from ISS

SpaceX Dragon CRS-6 capsule was unberthed from the ISS after a month-long stay at the station on May 21, 2015. The capsule was loaded with 3100 pounds of research samples, no longer needed equipment and trash.

It was released at 7:04 am EDT as the station sailed 250 miles above the southern coast of Australia. Then at 11:49 am fired its braking rockets to start the re-enry over the Pacific Ocean for a successful splashdown within sight of SpaceX recovery crews.

The next CRS-7 mission is currently targeted for takeoff on June 26 at 11:09 am.
