Soyuz TMA-14M arrival at the ISS

The Soyuz TMA-14M crew was successfully launched on Sep 25, 2014 at 4:25 pm EDT and docked to the POISK module at 10:15pm EDT. Cosmonauts Alexander Samokutyaev, Elena Serova and US Astronaut Barry Wilmore are now part of the Expedition 41 Crew along with crewmembers Surayev, Wiseman and Gerst.

The Soyuz’ left solar panel did not unfold once it reached orbit. But a little more than a half hour after docking, perhaps helped along by the slight jarring of impact, the stuck left-side solar array suddenly popped free, easing any concerns about the ship’s return to Earth next March.
