Atlas V DMSP-19 Mission

An Atlas V 401 configuration was launched from Vandenberg, CA on April 3, 2014 carrying a military weather satellite, the DMSP-19. This satellite has been waiting 15 years for its turn to be launched. Outfitted with seven sensors, it provides the military with visible and infrared cloud pictures, measures precipitation, surface temperatures and soil moisture, and collects space weather data.



This model will be available in 1:144 and 1:96 scales soon.
