Here’s my Antares rocket 1:100 scale paper model showing all it’s glory. It’s a very simple model, easy to assemble and easy to rescale because all the graphics and logos are vector graphic images. Recently I modified the original model and added the payload fairing shroud to open so the Cygnus spacecraft can be inserted.
The following photos show the Antares carrying the Cygnus Mass Simulator, which was a mockup version of Cygnus and it served as a Demonstration flight. The Mass Simulator was a success but was not intended to go to the ISS.
Next are photos showing the Cygnus cargo vessel on its mission to ISS. Both the Mass Simulator and Cygnus cargo ship used the Castor 30 Solid Motor engine shown here.
The Cygnus Mass Simulator and Cygnus cargo vessel in launch configuration are part of the new Antares 1:100 scale model package available at my website.
